Routine and Settling

Morning session:

  •  Staff arrives and set up.
  • Children arrive and are welcomed.
  • Free play (a wide range of activities is provided, with adult supervision, to promote children's learning).
  • Snack/Circle time (a time when all children socialise with each other and use a lot of language skills).
  • Out-door play (this is very important for the children's development and environmental awareness).
  • Quite time (Story time).
  • Staff tidy up and set up for next session.
  • Lunch

Afternoon session:

  • Children arrive and are welcomed.
  • Free play (a wide range of activities is provided, with adult supervision, to promote children's learning).
  • Snack/Circle time (a time when all children socialise with each other and use a lot of language skills).
  • Out-door play (this is very important for the children's development and environmental awareness).
  • Quite time (Story time).
  • Staff tidy up, end of session.
  • Children leave (goodbye).
